Outside time became a thing a little after Lunar was a year old! He was more brave than his sister, Boo. We got harnesses for the both of him but Boo wasn’t about it as much at first.
It started with us taking Lunar out on his harness and my husband at the time complained about how boring it was (let’s be honest… taking a cat for a walk is NOT the same as taking a dog!) He just wanted to walk a little here and there and smell EVERYTHING! He loved it though.
Once we started living at my dad’s with an actual backyard, I would let him and his sister out to roam around with supervision. Lunar was great! Only tried to jump the wall once and never again (unlike his sister…) Maybe he was a little chunky too, haha!
Lunar loved being outdoors enjoying the fresh air and smells. He’s played with lizards in the backyard and his favorite thing was eating the grass! He would chow down! And then would relax and enjoy the breeze. I LOVED having this time with them. It meant a lot to them because they were born outside. Their mom was a stray. It’s engrained into them especially.
Lunar would chill by the lawn chair or rocking chair when he wasn’t nomming on the grass. Always a good time! And he let me pick him up when I was in my yoga swing. Just loved the outdoors and being with his family <3
